In this seminar, I will present the work developed within our group, Extragalactic Astronomy and Transformation of Galaxies at UFRGS (Porto Alegre), focusing on how small stellar systems in and around galaxies trace galaxy assembly across cosmic time. I will highlight selected results on globular cluster (GC) systems in diverse galaxy types\u2014including relic galaxies\u2014as well as star-forming clumps in ram-pressure stripped galaxies and disturbed systems at intermediate redshift. Together, these examples illustrate how local dynamical processes, interactions, and environment shape galaxy evolution. I will also briefly present methodological developments tailored to next-generation datasets, including SAGUI, a photometric segmentation framework applied to clumps in JWST observations, and the construction of spectroscopic GC training samples through data mining of MUSE integral field spectroscopy, enabling robust identification of stellar systems in wide-field surveys such as the Vera C. Rubin Observatory LSST. Finally, I will introduce the CAPES\u2013AUGM network (2025\u20132029), highlighting its structure and the funding and collaboration opportunities it provides.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
