polar coordinate axes

I am using version 2.1.4 of GMT and am trying to plot some data in polar
coordinates, but I keep getting a plot with all the degree labels greater
than 180 degrees plotted inside the circle. All of the labels between 0
and 180 degrees are plotted on the outer edge of the cirle. I thought it
was something with the -B option (I am using psxy), but nothing I do seems
to affect the axes. Does anyone have any suggestions?
