Guided tours on Fridays

The night guided tours on Fridays are aimed at the general public in order for them to get closer to the world of Astronomy and Geophysics.
 
After the public lectures, the guides will show visitors the library and the scientific instruments that are available at the Museum of Astronomy and Geophysics.
 
Finally, if there are good weather conditions, the astronomical observation will take place.

  • Public lectures start at 7 p.m.
  • Guided tours start at 8 p.m.
  • Observations start at 8.20 p.m.

Entrance to the Observatory premises: until 8.50 p.m.
 
All these activities have no admission charge.  Observations will only take place if there are good weather conditions.

Astronomical observations will only take place if there are good weather conditions.

  • Observations start at 7 p.m.
  • Entrance to the Observatory premises: until 8 p.m.

Day and night guided tours with astronomical observation for institutions
 
Guided tours for schools

Guided tours for schools, or any other type of educational institutions, run from April to the beginning of December. The timetable is from Monday to Friday, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 1.30 to 4.30 p.m.
Night tours can also be requested. Some celestial bodies may be observed through the telescope if there are good weather conditions. These tours only run from Monday to Thursday. Reservations can be made by the relevant institution on the phone or personally.
 
The maximum number of visitors per group is 30 people. Please be advised that, if you make a reservation for more than one group, they will be guided one at a time. 

Day tours. Day tours run from Monday to Friday according to the following timetable:
 
*    Morning: 9-10.30 a.m.
*    Afternoon: 1.30-3 p.m.
Estimated duration: 1 hour 30 minutes.
 
Night tours. Night tours run from Monday to Thursday according to the following timetable:
*    April - September: 7 p.m.
*    October - December: 8 p.m.
In case of adverse weather conditions, night tours are still held, although the observation may not take place.
 
Admission: All guided tours are free of charge.

Important:
Visitors must arrive on the appointed date, not later than 15 minutes from the appointed time.
If your institution cannot undertake the appointed tour, please inform us in advance.
